The Lesser Tribes of Ir'resthel
The “Lesser Tribes” as referred to by the Travelers are the bipedal groups and villages that are scattered around the continent of Ir'resthel. Their technology is roughly that of the iron age, however the dragons have been teaching them how to alloy metals and create small quantities of steel with their limited forging capacity.
The lesser tribes have a strong economy of trade between communities, with the products of fishing and agriculture being foremost in their barter and trade. The lesser tribes also have a rich tradition of trading trinkets, gems, precious metals and rarities uncovered during travels and exploration amongst themselves, each individual vying to have a sizable selection of valuables in expectation of eventual trade with dragons, whose own trade offerings and tastes demand higher prices and barter of objects with more subjective interest.

The largest of such tribes is the southern city known as Shaanmalgaar (lit. Inspire small release/a term for modest sanctuary and comfort) in Old Draconic, or Trail's End** in the Common tongue, though many suggest the lesser tribes were guided to choosing that name by the Travelers. This is the location of the great Summer Market, where the nomadic bands of Travelers gather with their kin to trade and celebrate during the summer months.
The lesser tribes have modest naval capacity, enabling exploration to surrounding islands, as well as ample fishing; though their vessels are insufficient for great crossings.
Several religions are practiced by the lesser tribes, with the most common being simply known as The Cycle - the same as the Travelers follow and teach.
