Hahnu

Hahnu is a demigoddess inhabited by “The Dreamer”. She has nearly a hundred kobolds under her service.

Her shortened full name is “Hahnu zul'i Ziil”, “Dreams, the mortal voice of your soul” and her full name is “Hahnu Tinvaakaan Wah Ziil”, “[To] Dream [is to] commune with [your] soul”

Hahnu took the role of the dream-god's mortal avatar over from a bard known commonly as "Sunrise" or "Sun, Rise" depending on who you ask.

Description - Character#

Surveying the quadrupedal dragoness from a short distance away, she appears unassuming despite her somewhat impressive scale. Her shoulder stands at the height of the average anthropomorphic, and the truer measure of length of the dragoness is far more revealing. Owing some of her body's length to a long torso, tail, and neck, however, she appears rather petite, if not frail by any measure. Her body is best defined as lithe- sitting with refined poise, but retaining the power with which to defend herself should the need arise.

Her body is covered with a fine-textured coating of hard, overlapping scales of a deep, midnight-purple color, though a random scattering of faintly glowing, solitary white scales shine like stars in a night sky. A mane extends from just between her horns all the way down the center-line of her back and to the dragoness' tailtip, light, icy-blue in color. The dragoness' wings are positively immense, the sails colored a rich royal-purple. When unfurled, her wings reveal an intricate web of white, reflective markings- the knots and patterns of dream-catchers on the undersides of their sails. Reflective, white paint traces lines upon her body between 'constellations' represented by those solitary white-glowing scales along her body. Her claws and horns are all stark white, also glowing faintly in the darkness should you be observing her in such an environment.

The dragoness' face is obscured by an intricately carved bone mask, covering all but her lower jaw and throat, with her branched horns jutting out through carved holes in the top of the mask. The mask obscures her eyes from view, leaving only black openings there-with a hint of reflectivity from within, if the light creeps in at the right angle. Three pairs of fangs sit in the upper jaw of the mask, providing just a hint of menace to the otherwise ornamental accessory. Her gracefully back-swept, elegantly branched horns each have several rings fixed to them, each ring carrying an eyelet. Between these eyelets, a dream-catcher has been woven, suspended tightly between the dragoness' horns. Simple earfins at the back of her skull, suspended upon bony spines, sport numerous piercings. Wooden rings, from which dangling beads and feathers are affixed.

Relatively well-hidden beneath the dragoness' wings, two satchels are affixed to facilitate the carrying of objects found or given to her in her journeys. Woven, and braided bands are affixed to her forelegs near the biceps and wrists, and hindlegs at the digitigrade ankle, in addition to the base of her tail. The dragoness seems to notice you, her head pivoting in your direction combined with a perfectly-timed, curious twitch of her tail.

Description - Home#

Deep beneath the earth a very rare and sacred cavern has been continuously inhabited for millions of years by the unbroken line of succession of the Dreamer's hosts. This is that place.

Used originally as a refuge for the long slumbers of the original Dreamer, her faithful were called and built a temple around the slumbering dragoness. As time wore on, the temple was enlarged, and faithful gathered to commune with their goddess.

Eventually, a smaller shelter was built for the Dreamer herself, into which only her kobolds and invited faithful are permitted.

It is, however, hauntingly still, in this place. Torchlight rises from long conical flames in absence of disturbances in the air that would call the flame to flutter and flicker. A pillar of smoke rises from smoldering incense, its rich and rare scents heavy on the air.

The Entourage#

Hahnu is accompanied by an entourage. This consists of occasional followers and a very large contingent of The Kobolds in her service.
