Summer Market
The Summer Market is the largest annual gathering of The Travelers, who descend upon Trail's End** and set up a large festival and encampment outside the city, drawing visitors from all over Ir'resthel to come and trade and partake in the festivities.
Their arrival at the beginning of the season is a spectacle, led at first by a long procession of kobold heralds from each warren who dance, sing, play music and perform exciting acrobatics and magic tricks to draw the crowds. After, the procession of dragons continues for miles, with the main progression of dragons typically lasting the full day and well into the night.
In the market, many of the Travelers assume their bipedal forms which are more useful for commerce and trade at the scale of the The Lesser Tribes of Ir'resthel, as well as to ease the physical logistics of the amorous pursuits of younger, more virile Travelers. The heavy, expensive textiles they cover themselves with in their quadrupedal forms take new purpose as the walls and roofs of their tents and trade stalls, and from a high vantage point one can see the sea of colorful and often intricately woven materials extending for miles across the festival grounds.
