Sunrise

Sunrise is Hahnu's predecessor. He was a beloved bard who loved how the oral tradition kept stories alive and changing, and the same for songs, and poems. He rarely wrote anything down, and when he did, it stood with profound gravity among his followers.

The vast majority of written records of Sunrise's works have been lost to time in the twenty thousand years since his death. It is believed by scholars that many songs that are sung today among the tribes are provably descended from Sunrise's original works. The small number of followers that remain after so many centuries, who understand Sunrise to be a prophet or a vessel of the gods, believe that the ephemerality of his written record was intentional, to remind the bards that come after him that the beauty of creation lives in music as it does all things. 

The only surviving original record of Sunrise's works in the present day is his postdracous poem, Faal Laat Lovaas (The Last Song). Due to its heavy usage of draconic metaphor interspersed with retellings of extra-planar experiences which are beyond the perceptual capacity of the lesser tribes and for which no assemblage of words in Common can sufficiently describe, the exhaustive interpretations of the script vary heavily. Interpreters have instead focused on the primary text without the included subtext and draconic inflection in the layered script-strokes, and with that translation alone they have hotly debated the correct translations from the Traveler tongue to Common. Most interpreters agree that Material translation of The Last Song describes the dragon's final moments, and the Travelers maintain that these were merely his final words, scribed by one of the Kobolds in service to him at the time of his death. The kobold was in a meditative trance, attuned to his dragon, and only started writing in the minutes after Sunrise took his final breaths. The Kobolds (the Six Hands) brought the scroll to Hahnu for safekeeping when they came to work in her service after Sunrise's death, and the scroll remains a sacred artifact in her temple.

Sunrise's alternate nickname is "Sun, Rise". 

His shortened name is Shul-Alok au Strunmah arhk Mindok Vazah Ros ("Sun, Rise Upon the Mountain and Know True Love")

Find lovers, embraced, wet with morning dew having dreamt where they lie.

To their shared, sacred silence the birds rejoice in song!
